- We are seeking Sr. Azure Engineer for a full-time opportunity working in our Jalandhar office.
Position available for an experienced, collaborative Azure Engineer to join our team in the ongoing development and support of enterprise solutions for data warehousing, enterprise analytics, and integrations across our enterprise healthcare systems, and support the ongoing buildout of our data management and analytics environment on Microsoft’s Azure platform.
This position is responsible for working with the team to design, code, and implement new functionality, support existing functionality, and support business data intelligence, AI, Predictive Modeling, needs on our Microsoft technology stack. This Engineering role requires candidate to be comfortable working within a core team, occasionally interfacing with other technical stakeholders both internally and externally. This position is a mix of product development, project-based and production support work with an emphasis on building a robust, sustainable enterprise data environment. This position will to be focused to implement Interoperability solution and the resource will be a part of the Development Team supporting new and existing interface applications and services utilizing Microsoft .NET and Azure technologies.
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and build Azure cloud solutions based on Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Build and maintain a Lakehouse architecture in ADLS using Databricks.
- Perform data preparation tasks including data cleaning, normalization, deduplication, type conversion etc.
- Work with DevOps team to deploy solutions in production environments.
- Control data processes and take corrective action when errors are identified. Corrective action may include executing a work around process and then identifying the cause and solution for data errors.
- Healthcare Interface Industry experience i.e., familiarity with HL7, X12, XML, CCD, IHE, and FHIR
- Participate as a full member of the global Analytics team, providing solutions for and insights into data related items.
- Collaborate with your Data Science and Business Intelligence colleagues across the world to share key learnings, leverage ideas and solutions and to propagate best practices. You will lead projects that include other team members and participate in projects led by other team members.
- Apply change management tools including training, communication, and documentation to manage upgrades, changes, and data migrations.
- Recreating existing application logic and functionality in the Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and SQL Database environment.
- Working with external partners to bring data into our environment.
- Designing and maintaining database schemas.
- Working with the Data Architect to translate functional specifications into technical specifications.
- Develop and Implement enterprise level Azure IaaS solutions.
- Align solutions to platform, data, cloud and reference architecture patterns and capabilities.
- Ensure appropriate implementation of technology following all standards and best practices set forth by governing bodies.
- Drive execution for large business initiatives including documentation, roadmaps, communication, and alignment of domain architecture into business, product, and technical plan.
- Work with external resources on large projects.
- Work with other internal technical personnel to troubleshoot issues and propose solutions.
- Support compliance with data stewardship standards and data security procedures.
- Apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to resolve support issues as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-6 + years of experience in a Azure Developer, Data Engineer role with .net, Java, and/or full stack apps.
- In-depth understanding of data management (e. g. permissions, security, and monitoring).
- Experience working with scripting languages such as R, and Python.
- Knowledge of software development best practices.
- Excellent analytical and organization skills.
- Effective working in a team as well as working independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED APPLICANTS WILL ALSO HAVE:
- Expertise in database development projects and ETL processes.
- Experience in an agile SDLC environment.
- Experience planning and implementing QA and testing, and data warehousing.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and SQL Database products or equivalent products from other cloud services providers (e. g. AWS Elastic MapReduce, AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon RDS).
- Conduct research on environmental issues and attend meetings to propose technical solutions based on foundational initiatives.
